This is what STRICTLY FUN is all about. Myself, Mr. Butch is the longest living and most experienced promoter/manager in the entire Washington, D.C. region. Below are some interesting facts.

It all started back in 1976 when l worked on the stage crew at the old Capital Centre concert arena in Largo, MD. I worked there for 5 years. It was the beginning of a great career. I was blessed to meet all the superstars of the 70's and beyond with the likes of: Bob Marley: Elton John: George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic: Earth* Wind* Fire: Led Zepplin* Rolling Stones: O'Jays: Isley Brothers.... etc,etc, so on & so on & so on.... While l was working backstage at these super concerts, I was able to learn the business and collect contact information that helps me even until today. Trust me when l tell you it was a experience that l truly miss.

Then around 1982, l went on tour with several different national groups working security. To be honest with you, l worked security also at the Washington Colesium in 1979-80 off and on while l was working at the Capital Centre. After this, l came back home in 1985 and started a breakdance group called the "Allstar Rockers" I went on to manage 12 breakdance groups and took them on the road up & down the eastcoast. We performed with the like of " The Mighty Popalots" who were at that time, the #1 breakdance group out of New York.

Then in 1986 at the urging of my breakdancers, l started promoting go-go dances and the rest is history. I went on to do more shows and promote more bands than any other promoter. From skate rinks to bowling alleys to firehouses to Sunday afternoon go-go's. The first promoter to hire local police officers working part time at the dances . The go-go dances went on and on until this present day. I received several awards including promoter of the year at Howard University in 1991.  I then went on to managed 15 bands at one time called the "Big Butch Go-Go Family Of Stars" where some of these members are still in go-go bands to this day! I then went on to take the title that l still hold today as the "#1 Concert Go-Go Promoter" in which l am truly thankful.

 

Although we all have had problems and bumpy roads in our life. l have learned from my mistakes of the past and thank GOD for allowing me to continue his wonderful works. There is no one or anything that can stop the power of GOD'S LOVE! I have a mission; his mission will be fulfilled in me and the persons he brings my way.
